This morning, I completed 3 years(1096 days) of daily yoga practice.
When I first started this, I had also started creating and sharing one video a day on Instagram. Something that helped me discover WHY I needed yoga and how it really helped me.
My goal initially was to share these videos for 1000 days, but after a years and a half of doing it, I realized that I was forcing myself to create something that stopped making sense. These videos had no value if I could't bring my community(Introverts) into action.
At some point during last year, I realized I had to figure out a way to bring my people to practice everyday. To help them build a consistent practice. So I can finally succeed in what I was put on earth to do.
The only way I could think was if I practiced WITH them everyday. But that wasn't possible as I had committed all my time to be at various places throughout the week.
During spring of this year. A question arose in my mind. What if I started sharing my daily practice with them? Maybe I could live stream my entire practice every morning.
But. Would I still be calm after talking and guiding a class so early in the morning. Or Is it gonna make me uncentered for rest of my day.
I could sit and wonder. Or I could try it and see.
"Why are we so worried about what ifs without trying something out? Honestly, whenever I did things that I'm not sure or even scared of. I come out with a new perspective. Every single time!"
I knew that simply live streaming every day was not gonna be enough. I had to figure out a way to bring them into momentum. In a step by step way.
That's when I thought about creating a 21-day challenge.
Something I myself do every single time I'm trying to create any new habit. Once I can make it through the first 21 days, it gets easier to stay consistent.
And harder not to show up.
So in June this year, I created a 21-day Daily Yoga Practice Challenge. Where I Live Streamed every morning at 5:30 and also shared guidelines that had helped me make it through this period.
Halfway through the challenge, I realized how much I loved being on my toes the moment I woke up(because now I had to show up for others at a fixed time no matter what.).
This is when I thought that the challenge was not going to be the end of these live streams. It will actually be the start of what I would call Daily yoga(Scroll below to the calendar). I will keep on sharing my daily practice even beyond the 21 days.

As hard as it may feel, building a consistent practice is a simple 2-step process:
1. Create a habit by practicing daily for 21 days in a row. Take the DYP Challenge!
2. Once you make it through the first 3-week period. Start showing up day in day out no matter what day it is... Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, 4th of July, Birthdays, Sick days, graduation days, Saturdays and Sundays. Join me
